Ron Asbach, Principal Engineer at Mattel
Barbie dolls, Matchbox cars and Fisher-Price toys: this is just one part of the colorful brand world of the long-established toy company Mattel. Most of these products are made of plastic, which makes it all the more ambitious that the company wants to convert the value chain to recycled, recyclable or bio-based materials. Sustainability should then have an impact on every product in the gigantic portfolio. HolyPoly has been supporting the global player on this journey since 2020, first to accompany Fisher-Price's 90th brand anniversary with a temporary recycling campaign and then to set up the #PlayBack recycling program in Germany.
